Morada do Sol is a large, enclosed property to let on a short term basis, in a rural setting near Cascais, at the foot of the Sintra hills, 3 km from Guincho beach. This is an ideal location for nature lovers, being in the Sintra-Cascais protected National Park where building is very restricted. There is good walking, with an abundance of wild flowers, birds and animals. Yet it is only 4 km to the motorway, making Lisbon accessible in less than 30 minutes. Cascais and Sintra are just 10 minutes away.

With a large swimming pool and beautiful grounds in a 5000m² estate, close to the beach and the many attractions of Cascais, Lisbon and Sintra, Morada do Sol offers an ideal setting for a perfect holiday: peace and privacy amongst the beauty and tranquility of nature but with all you might want close by. The large, covered pool means the water is warm enough for you to swim from April to November although you are free to use it all year round; sliding doors allow you to catch a cooling breeze in the summer months. The extensive and well-kept gardens with their grand pine tree drive and many areas and spaces of different character have wonderful displays of colour for most of the year and the mature palm trees provide delightful summer shade.  Help yourself to fresh tomatoes, lettuces, apples, pears, lemons, oranges, figs and pomegranates from the orchard and vegetable garden, all biologically produced.  In winter, relax by a log fire and contemplate the view down a green and unspoilt valley to the sea, or the mystical Sintra hills behind. Enjoy the outdoor games area and sauna all year round.

Morada do Sol has two villas in its grounds which can be let as 4 independent units. All units have their own private access and outside space.

Villa Monte e Mar is the main house - spacious and luxurious, with room for up to 16 people when let with Casa dos Meninos. Although part of the garden and the swimming pool are shared with the guests of Casa Grande, a 2000 m² private landscaped area is reserved for the exclusive use of the Villa´s guests. There you will find a large feature barbecue and a marble table with seating for 16 under a pillared portico making a wonderful transition between the house and garden. The house itself is light and at one with its setting, which has inspired the flow and curves of its design. Furnished with flair with country, oriental and contemporary pieces and paintings, it has 4-5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a large open plan sitting and dining room, and a kitchen/breakfast room. All modern facilities such as Jacuzzi, satellite TV and DVD, internet, and dishwasher are provided.

Casa dos Meninos is a new three bedroom unit (up to 6 people) with its own kitchen and bathroom. Casa dos Meninos is a self contained apartment with its own entrance in the garden floor of Villa Monte e Mar. This apartment can be let separately or integrated into the main house.  It features lovely hand painted azulejos by a local artist depicting 2 adorable angels after which the house is named.

The two apartments which make up Casa Grande (up to 14 people) can be rented separately as Casa Jasmin or Casa Geranium.  Both units are on one floor and have two bedrooms and a reception room with kitchenette and sofa-bed, plus their own patio.

Parties of up to 32 people can stay at Morada do Sol when all units are let to the same group.  There is ample secure parking inside the gated property.
